Reach for the Sky.

Self explanatory really I guess, although It could 

have a double meaning. While I was drawing it 

I had in my head old cowboy and gangster movies 

but it could suggest reaching for the higher things 

in life.

 

Jet! When Britain Ruled the Skies

 

Earlier in the year I had the privilege of working on this set of two programmes

telling the story of the golden age of the British jet industry.

Above are the two transmission cards I designed. I also produced  animated

titles which along with the Programmes can be viewed on youtube here, 

about one minute and half in.

Designs for a new gents barbers. The brief was to combine a

traditional barbers with on trend styles which is also family friendly.

Sketchboob

 

Today's Offering is something from my Sketchbook not sure if it's 

finished or what it will become, does however have a name. 

Whilst creating a new folder to put scans from my sketchbook in

my random dyslexic super powers kick in and spelled it sketchboob.

You can not argue with super powers.

This a book cover I am in the process of designing and illustrating,

due to the unique way in which it is being published 

I am able to share before completion more info to come.

Water under the bridge

Well It's been nearly a year since my last post 

and there has been a lot water under the bridge since.

So what's been going on?.

Well i'll tell you, or try to, after my reclamation exhibition I became 

ill this went on for few months nothing life threatening but i did 

feel crap and had no energy let alone for social media, which was real same 

beacuse I would have loved to follow up on the very positive feedback 

from the exhibition.

By january I was back to normal well my version of normal, 

still a bit disillusioned with the social media thing guess 

I have to fined the right balance between doing the work and writing about it,

being dyslexic not a great help.

I am currently freelancing as a Graphic Designer at 

BBC Birmingham, have had some great projects to work on and I am

filling sketch books like they are going out of fashion.

My aim over the next few weeks is to post some of the last years work,

new ideas and sketches.
